内容記述The authors evaluated the bioaccessibility of radioactive cesium using the extraction test with 1N HCl and the physiologically based extraction test (PBET). The bioaccessibilitiy from the PBET was 5.3%, and the extractability by the tests with 1N HCl was 16%. The bioaccessibility was strongly correlated with the extractability. This result demonstrates that the extractability of 1N HCl can be used as a good predictor of the bioaccessibility by the PBET. We assessed the doses to the children from ingestion of soils through hand-to-mouth activity using a probabilistic approach based on the spatial distribution of radioactive cesium in Date city. The geometric mean of the annual committed effective doses to the children of age category 1 y and 5 y is 16 nSv and 8.8 nSv, respectively. Even if the children ingest a large amount of soils with relatively high contamination, the 95th percentile of the doses from this pathway is tens of nSv per year.
